Absolute Software's Solehdin on Improving Endpoint Visibility
Tracking Missing Devices

Keeping track of missing devices is a critical aspect of information security. Ali Solehdin, senior product manager at Absolute Software, discusses Computrace, which helps organizations secure endpoints and the sensitive data those devices contain.

"IT administrators have visibility into all aspects of hardware on the device, software on the device and the ability to also track devices as they're moving," Solehdin says.

In an interview with Information Security Media Group, conducted at the Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit in National Harbor, Md., Solehdin:

  • Outlines key features in the Computrace agent;
  • Explains how missing devices can be tracked even when they're off the enterprise's network; and
  • Addresses how Absolute Software prices Computrace.

Before joining Absolute Software in January, Solehdin served as a marketing manager at mobile apps firm QuickMobile and data security provider Sophos.
