"When I joined my organization, there was a notion that the cybersecurity function is a showstopper and nothing will get approved. I am happy to say that notion is no longer there in my organization because everyone understands that security is at the forefront of everything that we do. The risk awareness has evolved," says Danquah.

In an interview with Information Security Media Group as part of the CyberEdBoard's ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, Danquah also discusses:

  • Cybersecurity measures being taken by Ghana;
  • Challenges of working in a hybrid environment;
  • Cybersecurity trends expected in Africa.

Danquah is the CISO at the Stanbic Bank Ghana. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise cybersecurity vision, strategy and program to ensure information assets and technologies are protected.
